In attempt to publish this post I somehow deleted the entire thing. SOOO here is take 2 of my pray post. I am so blessed to have wonderful parents in my life. Today is their 30th wedding anniversary. Not only are they amazing parents but both of them are such amazing people. They are the people I look up to most. Their love and commitment to one another brings me to my pray topic of the day: Relationships.

Think about all the relationships you have with different people. Relationships with God, parents, friends, co workers, boyfriends, girlfriends, teachers, and even people we meet on a day to day basis. These different relationships teach each of us so much. When you think about it, God craves a close and fruitful relationship with us. Each of us must make our relationship with God our highest priority. A growing relationship with God is central to everyting else that happens in our Christian lives. God is the epitome of absolute perfection and sinless existence. That's why we were created, that's why Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that's why God is preparing an eternal home for us in heaven. It is our responsibility to put God first and our relationships with others second. He is our guide and constant companion. He knows every step of our journey ahead of us. He will always do what is best for us. He doesn't answer every prayer the way we would like but he always answers. We must trust in Him and as we pray and we listen to Him, as we engage in fellowship with others who are in a relationship with Him and we obey His commandments, we grow in our relationship with others and, ultimately, with God. Who wouldn't want to be in a relationship with that!!
John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Colossians 4:2
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
