Crock Pot Salmon Pasta

This recipe originally called for chicken breasts. I have had some salmon filets I have been wanting to use so I substituted salmon for chicken but you can easily switch it back to chicken if you like.

Ingredients:
2 large or 4 medium salmon filets (can be frozen!)
1 can cream of chicken soup or mushroom
1/2 cup italian dressing
2 cloves of garlic, minced (I just used garlic out of the jar, didnt but whole cloves)
1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained (I used fresh mushrooms)
1 8 oz block of cream cheese
1/2 to 1 bag of frozen peas or broccoli (I used peas)
1 lb spaghetti or other noodles (I used whole wheat rotini pasta)

1. Place salmon in crock pot

not sure why it rotated

2. Add in the cream of chicken, italian dressing, garlic, and mushrooms.

3. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours

4. About 20 minutes before serving, pull salmon out and shred or cut into cubes and return to the crockpot.
(I just split mine apart with a fork in the pot and never took it out)

5. Add the block of cream cheese and stir until combined and add the amount of peas you want.

6. Boil water and cook your noodles.

7. Drain noodles and pour alfredo sauce over the top

Finished product!!

Pray.

Gratefulness

I was talking to a friend the other day and she said something that stuck with me. She said, "I have an amazing job, amazing roommates, I am living in such a great city, I should be grateful and thankful that God has put all this in my life." That stuck with me the past few days and takes me to my pray topic for the day: GRATEFULNESS.
We must realize that God is in control of all things. He loves us dearly. Sometimes God puts us in situations that we can not see the good at first but all things work out for a reason. There are many events in our lives that we may not understand and may have no control over. Things that don't go as we had hoped or planned. Unexpected things that happen and things that at one time seemed certain and which suddenly appear unsure. Yet through it all we can have this assurance; that God is sovereign. We must grasp this to be truly grateful to God. So start to show gratefulness towards God. Show him that we are thankful for the places, people, and things he has put into our lives. Be grateful and content.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Rom.8:28)

Eat.

So I have been told by a few of my readers that I need to do a few more healthy recipe's (Aunt T!) but before I do that I had to share with y'all this AMAZING dessert recipe! It is so yum I could not resist. My roommate made this for me on my birthday and I have been wanting to attempt to make it myself ever since. We are having a dinner party tonight so I thought here we go. I can make this right. It only takes about 40 pots and pans to make it but hey its pretty hard to mess up desserts. Sugar and butter make anything great!

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

What you will need:
spring form pan
1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup quick cooking oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
3.4 cup chopped pecans
1 (8oz) cream cheese (i used fat free)
1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12oz) cool whip (thawed)
1 (12oz) caramel topping

spring form pan

1. Preheat oven to 350

2. In medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup melted butter, and white sugar until well mixed. Pour into bottom of 9" spring form pan. Mine didn't totally cover the entire pan but just spread it out evenly and it will bake together.

3. Bake for 6 min, until set. Cool completely. I put mine straight in the fridge while I did the rest of the cooking.

4. Preheat oven to 400.

5. In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, 1/2 cup melted butter, and pecans until well mixed. Lightly pat on baking sheet.

6. Bake for 10 minutes, until light brown. Crumble while still hot. Let them cool completely.

7. In a large bowl, beat with a mixer cream cheese until smooth. Beat in condensed milk until well blended. Fold in cool whip once it is thawed.

8. Spread 1/2 the cream cheese mixture over the top of the crust in spring form pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of the oat crumbles over cream cheese mixture, and spread 1/2 caramel sauce over that. Repeat layers using the rest of the mixtures. Cover and Freeze until firm, Remove sides from pan and serve cold. I put mine straight in the freezer and am going to take it out about 15 minutes before we serve it. When you are cutting it to serve make sure you cut all the way to the bottom so you get the crust!

Y'all enjoy. This is the best dessert EVER and I cant believe I could even make it. Now got to go and clean all these pots and pans! Everyone enjoy the dessert and enjoy the day! God is good!
